Abstract
Pressure effect on the Curie temperature was studied for Co-TM-Zr (TM = Cr and Mo), Co-TM-B (TM = Ti, Mo, and Mn), Co-B and Co-Si-B amorphous alloys under pressure up to about 10 kbar. The Curie temperature of all prepared specimens decreased linearly with applied pressure. It was found that Co rich Co-Mo-Zr alloys have strong pressure dependence of the Curie temperature. Thermal expansion was also measured for some specimens of the alloys mentioned above. It was found that while the Curie temperature of Co-Cr-Zr and Co-Mo-Zr amorphous alloys have strong pressure dependence, the magnetic thermal expansion anomalies are undetectably small. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
