Abstract
Seven WISC-R [Weschsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Revsied] information subtest items were altered as recommended by Vernon to make them more appropriate for Canadian children. For 2 samples (210 nonclinical children and 52 children referred for assessment), responses to the modified items were compared to responses to the original manual items. These data were also compared to data from the American standardization group. On the basis of these comparisons, it was suggested that Vernon''s changes be adopted. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
