Abstract
The preparation of sterile artificial liposomes (phosphatidylcholine:cholesterol:dicethylphosphate = 5:5:1) by Millipore filtration is described. Conditions for storing liposome entrapped methotrexate [an antineoplastic drug] were found which allow storage of the drug in the entrapped form for at least 4 mo. I.v. injected [mouse] liposome entrapped methotrexate is retained for at least 15 h in the particulate form. During this time no free methotrexate was detectable in the blood. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
