Abstract
Alkylation of thiouracils using N,N-dimethylformamide acetals and N,N''-dicyclohexyl-O-alkylisoureas were compared for yields and isomer formation with alkylations using alkyl halides. Isomer formation can be analyzed by TLC on RP-18 gel or the isomers are readily analyzed and separated by reverse-phase HPLC [high-performance liquid chromatography], the order of elution being the N(1)-, the N(3)- and the O-alkylated isomer. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
