Abstract
Neutral or charge‐shifting, mutagenesis of β‐actin at positions 3 and 4 strongly influenced the actomyosin interaction under non‐rigor conditions. The polymerization behaviour and tropomyosin binding properties on the other hand remained unaffected.Keywords
