Abstract
Quebrachitol [1 -(−)-2-0-methyl- chiro -inositol] was converted into - and -galactose derivatives via the common intermediate, the 7-membered hemiacetal-lactone (9), which was obtained by regioselective Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of the inosose (8).This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
