Abstract
The antigenic structure of macroglobulins from patients with macroglobulinemia was studied with the Ouchterlony gel diffusion technique. The pathological macroglobulins are related to the gamma-1-macroglobulin of normal serum. However, the normal protein contains antigenic groupings that are absent from the patients" protein. Furthermore, the pathological proteins differed among each other. There was no correlation between a macroglobulin s electrophoretic mobility and its antigenic structure. Keywords
