Abstract
We calculate the renormalization of charge in the Villain version of the U(1) lattice gauge theory due to monopole loops with their Biot-Savart-type long-range interactions, up to tenth order. The agreement with recent Monte Carlo data is very good except in the extreme vicinity of the critical point. Keywords
