Abstract
Measurements have been made of the angular correlation of photons from positron annihilation in single crystals of beryllium. The data yield areas of cross sections of the Fermi sea. The observed distributions of areas show an anisotropy which is in reasonable agreement with qualitative ideas of the Fermi surface of beryllium. Some evidence is seen of the higher momentum components of Bloch wave functions for electrons near a Brillouin zone boundary. Keywords
