Abstract
A high-precision observation of NMR in zinc metal at 295 K is reported. The nuclear quadrupole coupling and isotropic and axial components of the Knight shift ( and ) have been determined, as well as the temperature variation of and in a 283 K range around 295 K. The large positive value for the temperature coefficient of is comparable to that of cadmium, and a similar explanation appears likely. At 295 K the following values are obtained: MHz, and .Keywords
