Abstract
Studies on the haptoglobin [Hp] phenotypes of 935 white and 74 negroid leprosy patients are compared with those of 500 white and 381 negroid healthy persons. The subjects were living at the time of the investigation in 3 Southern Brazilian cities. A lack of 2-2 persons among white lepers in 2 of these cities was not confirmed in the 3rd one or among negroid persons. No significant relationships could be established either between Hp and type of leprosy or between Hp and severity of the disease. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
