Abstract
This study investigated intellectual giftedness in relation to parents' mediation of the television/child relationship. A total of 364 children and their parents compose the sample. Findings suggest that intellectual giftedness and, to a lesser degree, the quantity of children's television consumption influence parents' perceptions of the possible impact of television on their children and the type of mediation strategies they employ. Keywords
