Abstract
Guth PH. Pentagastrin and histamine in the regulation of gastric mucosal blood flow. Scand J Gastroenterol 1991, 26(suppl 180), 118–125 The current state of our knowledge concerning mediator(s) of the increase in gastric mucosal blood flow that occurs during pentagastrin- and histamine-stimulated acid secretion is reviewed. Evidence for a role for adenosine, prostaglandin, and histamine is presented and discussed. The dose relationship between the acid-stimulatory and the vascular permeability effects of histamine is also presented. Keywords
