Abstract
This review (151 references) is presented in the form of a round-table discussion. The genetic constitution of the host and parasite are shown to limit the area of experimentation on nutrition-infection relationships. The influence of nutrition on resistance to helminthic and protozoan infestations, bacterial infections, rickettsial infections, bacterioph-agy, and virus infections are each discussed in separate headings. Although no general conclusions may be drawn from the extensive work already done, the need for additional properly controlled work is stressed. To this latter end, a set of ten "gound rules" is suggested for guidance of workers in this field. This publication has 59 references indexed in Scilit:
