THYROID FUNCTION ASSAY WITH RADIOIODINE. III. CLINICAL TEST RESULTS AND DIAGNOSTIC LIMITS FOR RATE CONSTANTS 1

Abstract
A series of 180 patients has been examined to determine their thyroidal status by the chemical protein-bound I and radioiodine methods, using the thyroidal uptake rate factor calcualted from in vivo observations at 1, 4, or 24 hours after administration of the tracer dose. Gpod agreement was found between the 2 methods in most cases. The experimental results, and those of others using some other radioiodine methods, are used to derive suggested diagnostic borderline values of several parameters in common use.
