Abstract
In this Brief Report, we explicitly show the equivalence of the Feynman-Vernon influence-functional approach and the path-integral formulation of the Schwinger-Keldysh closed-time-path Green's function. The latter simplifies the practical calculations considerably with a systematic diagrammatic technique and is expected to have a broader application. Keywords
