Abstract
Complete lung vol. studies were carried out according to the method of Christie on a group of 5 patients who were subjected to lobectomy or bi-lobectomy for the relief of bronchiectasis. Reaction of the involved lobes caused no permanent postoperative reduction in the pulmonary vol. and its component parts as compared with the preoperative levels. In 3 cases there was an actual increase in lung vol. toward normal values. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
