Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 55-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of polyuria, bitemporal hemianopia, and a suprasellar mass.She was well until two months earlier, when bronchitis developed, characterized by a nonproductive cough, fever, and recurrent occipital headaches. Two courses of antibiotic treatment resulted in no improvement. The cough cleared after five weeks, but the headaches persisted and worsened two weeks before admission. Ten days before entry the patient experienced an abrupt onset of thirst, polyuria, and polydipsia and noticed blurring of vision in the periphery of the right temporal field that progressed centrally.
