Abstract
Gelis tenellus is among the top 3 most abundant hyperparasites of Apanteles melanoscelus (Ratzburg). Inexperienced females do not discriminate between parasitized and unparasitized host coccons. Mock cocoons treated with a hexane extract of the host cocoons were probed more than untreated mock cocoons suggesting the existence of a kairomone that stimulates ovipositional activity. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
