Abstract
The ether extract of urines after (+)-cathecin administration was separated to acidic (NaHCO3 solution) and neutral fractions. Paper chromatography of the latter with a mixture of water-saturated benzene and acetic acid (9:1) showed 3 spots of Rf,0.96,0.75 and 0.14 with the pink, yellow, and reddish purple[image]blackish brown color reaction with diazotized sul-fanilic acid reagent, respectively. The latter two were identified as delta-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-gamma-valerolactone, and delta-(3,4 -dihydroxy-phenyl)-gamma-valerolactone.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
