Abstract
In contrast to previous findings, mebanazine, a hydrazine monoamine oxidase inhibitor, administered for 21 days had no effect on insulin sensitivity in the rabbit. Insulin sensitivity was increased in mebanazine pretreated 24 hr starved rats but unchanged in mebanazine pretreated fed rats. Muscle and liver glycogen in the rat was unaffected by mebanazine treatment. Keywords
