Recoil-separated gamma-ray spectroscopy ofTi47,V47,Cr47,V48, andCr48

Abstract
High-spin states in the nuclei Ti47, V47, Cr47, V48, and Cr48 have been observed using the reaction Ca40 +10B at E(40Ca)=150 MeV. The prompt γ rays were detected in an array of nineteen escape-suppressed Ge detectors in coincidence with the recoiling nuclei which were identified in A and Z with a recoil separator. Rotational structures were observed in all these nuclei, apart from Ti47, up to spins near the maximum for the (f7/2 )z+n configuration. A rapid increase in the Coulomb displacement energy for mirror states in V47 and Cr47 occurs at Jπ=25/2. A backbend occurs in Cr48 at Jπ=10+.
