Abstract
An analysis on the structrually classified displacive type ferroelectrics when further divided on the basis of space groups and the order of transition (n), gave fairly good agreement between the observed and calculated values of transition temperature (Tc) from the knowledge of Δz, the atomic displacement. The relation between transition temperature and spontaneous strain is least affected by structural symmetry. Keywords
