Abstract
Lesions were made by scalding and by freezing, on the skin of guinea pigs. In one group, cortisone-treated, 60 such lesions were made and 60 identical lesions in untreated controls. Lesions of 1 hr., 6 hrs. and 24 hrs. duration, respectively, for each group were examined histologically. Comparisons showed that hyperemia, diapedesis, capillary hemorrhages, edema and leukocytic infiltration were more marked in the controls than in the cortisone-treated animals. Keywords
