Abstract
Summary Glucose, with and without exogenous insulin, was infused into normal males under conditions which produced a submaximal fall in total plasma FAA concentrations. Analysis of the individual free plasma amino acids revealed a significant decrease in the following essential amino acids; leucine, valine, threonine, isoleucine, phenyl-alanine and tyrosine. This effect is enhanced by the presence of exogenous insulin. Keywords
