Abstract
11 steroid compounds were studied as to their influence on Na excretion in adrenalectomized rats. Desoxycorticosterone caused significant retention of Na at doses of 1 [mu]g- and the acetate was effective at 25 [mu]g-,the lowest concn. studied. [DELTA]4-pregnenol-21-trione-3,12,20,21-acetate gave a significant retention at 1340 Mg. 17-hydroxycorticosterone caused a significant excretion of Na. Other compounds tested were negative. Keywords
