Abstract
The lifetime and quenching rate constant of Kr2F by F2 were directly determined from the decay rate of the fluorescence emitted after excitation of a high current electron beam pulse of 3 ns duration. The ambiguity caused by the overlapping of other processes was removed by exciting the medium with a very short electron beam pulse and selecting an experimental condition through examination by our newly revised computer code. The natural lifetime was determined as 210±20 ns, and the quenching rate constant by F2 as (1.8±0.1)×10-10 cm3s-1.Keywords
