Abstract
For compounds of the morphine, morphinan, pethidine, hexamethyleneimine, methadone, and dithienylbutenylamine groups, the analgesic and physical-dependence-producing properties are compared. On the basis of a parellelism in intensity of these properties, conclusions are drawn regarding their interrelationship and the chemical features common to substances with morphine-like addiction liability. Keywords
