On J/psi Production in Nuclear Collisions
Abstract
Experimental data indicate that the J/psi multiplicity in both p+A interactions and Pb+Pb collisions is proportional to the pion multiplicity. This suggests a common mechanism of light and heavy quark creation in contradiction to the generaly accepeted picture based on perturbative QCD.Keywords
