Abstract
We show that the Gödel metric for a rotating cosmology is compatible with the self-consistent formulation of the Einstein-Cartan metric-torsion theory for a spinning fluid. In the model presented, the only changes are that the cosmological constant becomes slightly more negative, and the sense of rotation is flipped. If the Gödel model were a viable model, experimentally it would be difficult to distinguish between the two models unless the spin density could be measured directly. Keywords
