Abstract
A case of community-acquired pneumonia with A. calcoacetium var. anitratus (H. vaginicola) is presented. Initial leukopenia and sparse leukocytes in the sputum followed by prolonged leukocytosis and fever, were unusual features of this case. The clinical significance and current antimicrobial drug therapy of Acinetobacter infections are discussed. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
