Abstract
Enhancement of the replication of unrelated viruses (three RNA viruses and one DNA virus), representative of four major virus groups, occurs in human, rodent, or avian cells treated in vitro with 5-iododeoxyuridine (IdU). The results suggest that the potentiation of viral replication by IdU is a widespread phenomenon. Keywords
