Electrical resistivity due to dislocations in nickel at low temperatures

Abstract
The resisitivity and coercivity were studied during the recovery of heavily deformed nickel foils. Both the resistivity, ρ(0), and the resistivity anisotropy, Δ(0), increase as the square of the coercivity, H c. Such a relation is expected when these properties (ρ(0), Δ(0), and H c) reflect the effects of individual dislocations. The results are discussed primarily in terms of the spin disorder induced by the dislocations.
