Abstract
The (, ) and (, ) reactions on target have been investigated using 56 MeV and 48 MeV beams. Angular distributions were obtained for the first five excited states of . No-recoil distorted-wave Born-approximation (DWBA) analyses were made and striking anomalies were found especially for the (, ) reaction leading to the states. These anomalies were then shown to disappear if exact finite-range DWBA analyses were made, which gave reasonable absolute spectroscopic coefficients in close agreement with those obtained in light ion reactions.
