Cancellation of infrared divergences in massive-quark potential scattering

Abstract
We present a proof of the cancellation of infrared divergences in the potential scattering of a massive quark when a sum is performed over soft-gluon emission. The proof applies to quantum chromodynamics and works to all orders in perturbation theory.Keywords
