Abstract
Since its original isolation and description by Droop in 1953, ‘Monochrysis’ lutherihas proved to be one of the most valuable of cultured phytoflagellates. It has been used by many workers, too numerous to cite, in laboratory studies on phytoplankton growth kinetics, nutrition and biochemistry, and also in mariculture and animal feeding experiments, particularly experiments on the raising of crustacean and molluscan larval stages. Keywords
