Radioisotope Brain Scanning in Cerebral Sarcoidosis

Abstract
Cerebral sarcoidosis which simulated a brain tumor was discovered when an area of increased radioactivity was noted on the brain scan of a patient who received sodium pertechnetate Tc 99m. The patient's clinical improvement after corticosteroid therapy was closely related to the resolution of the pathologic areas of increased radioactivity noted on the brain scan.
