Abstract
The present study is an attempt to isolate a dimension of leisure behavior, active versus passive, and determine its relationship to factors of psycho-social adjustment. The hypothesis examined was that individuals more actively engaged in their free time would be both less anxious and more likely to feel in control of their environments. Results indicated limited support for the hypothesis, and other possible sources of variation were discussed. Keywords
