A modified method for the viscosimetric assay of hyaluronidase

Abstract
Studies were made in the Ostwald viscosime-ter of the relationship between flow-time and concn. of hy-aluronate and mixtures of hyaluronate and hyaluronidase. It has been established that the fall in the flow-time of the mixture incubated for 20 min is proportional to the logarithm of enzyme concn. Satisfactory assays which have standard errors of less than 10% can be made with 12 readings.
