Abstract
A pulsed beam of polarized neutrons and a polarized target have been used to determine the spins of 65 resonances below 60 eV. Comparison of these spin assignments with those determined by less direct methods reveals poor agreement in general. Interpretation of recent data on the angular distribution of fission fragments from aligned with the present spin assignments reveals the absence of the channel and an apparent admixing of transition states.
