Abstract
The magnetotransport of a narrow (75-nm) parabolic well reveals suppressed quantum-Hall states at even-integer filling factors. The width of the parabolic well and the sheet carrier density determine which quantum Hall plateaus are observed. The observed behavior is explained by the influence of the magnetic field on the subband structure of the well. Keywords
