Abstract
Two cw far‐infrared laser lines in optically pumped CH3CHF2 have been discovered by use of the optoacoustic effect. Our method is based on the observation that narrow maxima in the spectrophone output signal of a molecular gas are found for emission lines of a cw CO2 laser which pump the gas optically to far‐infrared laser action. Keywords
