Collaborative Research: Campus and Clinic Working Together

Abstract
Collaborative research has been heralded as one means to increase research productivity within the field of occupational therapy. Drawing on the literature and an example of collaborative research of the authors, several benefits of faculty/clinician collaboration will be identified, including: the sharing of theoretical and practical knowledge, gaining access to resources, and enhancing the credibility of the research, ingredients that increase the probability of success in such an endeavour will also be outlined to suggest how research can be made more manageable in overcoming some of the deterrents to research.
