Abstract
RNA isolated from dry embryos ofAgrostemma githago seeds contains poly(A)-sequences, but in very small amounts. In the early phase of imbibition, an intensive synthesis of poly(A)-containing RNA is brought about. The importance of this synthesis of poly(A)-RNA is discussed. Keywords
