Abstract
To determine whether glycogen forms in muscle and liver after pancreatectomy, 15 exps. were performed on depancreatized dogs in which the glycogen of the liver and muscles was determined before and after the intravenous infusion of glucose. In 9 cases glycogen formed in the liver in significant quantities; it was once slightly increased, and diminished in 5 exps. The glycogen in muscles was decreased in 8 exps., slightly increased in 1 exp., and significantly increased in 5.This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
