Abstract
In order to study the paralysis described in dogs by Smith (Smith, S. G., Science, 1944,100, 389; Am. J. Physiol. 1944, 142, 476; 1945, 144, 175), a ration recommended was prepared and fed to growing dogs. On this ration, animals failed to grow, and developed a paralysis which was curable with K. Though Smith obtained cures with the admn. of biotin, one of the exptl. animals receiving biotin became paralyzed and responded to K therapy. Keywords
