Abstract
Application of a 30% body surface area full-thickness skin thermal injury results in prolongation of skin homograft survival in open stock Wistar male rats. This result is discussed in the light of recent findings which suggest an experimental approach to the analysis of the state of altered tissue reactivity associated with thermal injury. These findings include antigen competition, immunolo-gical paralysis, and the sharing of tissue transplantation antigens by randomly selected unrelated individuals. Keywords
