Abstract
An efficient, 459-nm, resonantly pumped Nd:YAG sum-frequency upconversion laser is described. The pump beam from a single-frequency 805-nm laser diode was resonantly enhanced inside the laser cavity and summed with the 1064-nm circulating field. A blue output of 1.2 mW was obtained at an input power of 50 mW.Keywords
