Abstract
The changing nature of rural economies has offered new challenges and opportunities for community development professionals. This paper presents a community level simulation model, designed for planning and addressing the issues of community growth and change. The simulation model provides annual projections for community employment, income, and population. Community service requirements for water, sewer, solid waste, ambulance calls, physician visits, hospital bed days, and fire calls are also projected. Results of a model application are presented. Keywords
