Abstract
A yeast test for the detn. of vit. B1 which yields very good results if the proper yeast is employed makes use of 6 Erlenmeyer flasks, in a thermostat (30[degree] C) upon a shaking machine, each connected by rubber tubing to a graduated burette in which the CO2 developed is measured. Flask I (control) contains only the synthetic nutrient soln. (comp. given) and the yeast suspension. To the others are also added varying amts. of the material to be tested. The best results are obtained in a 6 hr. test. This publication has 18 references indexed in Scilit:
